Wii workout game: golds cardio, EA active, or my fitness coach?

I just got a wii fit and have been using it to workout but am kinda sick of just the strength training and yoga. I want something that has more of a workout and cardio to lose some weight. I've narrowed it down to 3 that had good reviews: gold's gym cardio, EA sports active, and my fitness coach. Does anyone have these games and tell me which they prefer? Do you use the wii fit board with any? please help! Brian- I appreciate your input, yes I've tried all the games on wii fit, I'm looking for a more solid workout instead of just playing mini games. I think I may just go to blockbuster and rent each game then decide which I like the best.

I own all three and ill tell you whats good about them My Fitness Coach: you don' use the balance board and it Designs a workout for you and provides a challenge. What i don't like about this game is that it reminds me of workout DVDs since you don't even have to do the workouts you can sit and watch and it thinks you are Golds Gym: I liked it but there was just not alot to do in the game and i got bored of it within a week EA Sports Active: This game is fun and also meets your exercising needs. Comes with a fitness band and a knee strap. The game has a very good progress meter and is very accurate with its workout results So if i had to put them in order of best to worst i would say 1.EA Sports Active 2.My Fitness Coach 3.Golds gym:Cardio

What are your thoughts/opinions about Zumba Fitness for the Wii?

I absolutely love Zumba, but have only done classes. I wanted to get the videogame for the Wii so I could play at home. I've read and watched reviews and it seems mixed. Some say this game is like a glorified exercise video and that the graphics are crappy and they don't teach you the steps. Have you played it? What did you think? Do you feel like you get a good workout while having fun? Is it worth the $40?

My husband came across the Wii Bundle deal that Best Buy was offering this week and bought the console. I instantly thought about the yoga games that Wii has. Since then I've researched the best games for Wii and I have only seen the Biggest Loser and Wii Fit with the multiple workouts to be the best type of exercise game. I read on Game Spot that the Zumba game was not great in executing moves and that the workout wasn't all that great. It really is a shame because I too was looking forward to trying out some the games that offer exercise. Honestly, save your money because the technology is not there yet, at least not to my liking. You could buy the game, try it out for the day, and return it if you're dissapointed. I just don't feel like the hassle of going back and forth to the store for a subpar game to begin with.

Is the Wii version of this game worthwhile purchasing? I've read a few reviews and some say it's not great if you're looking to get technique of MMA moves right, which isn't important to me. I'm just looking to get in shape and improve my fitness. Will this game help me to achieve this?

I just got a wii and I want to find out if you can download games into a SD card (mostly a SD card not USB) and then play it on the wii for free, am I allow to do that?

Well, yes, but you'd first have to mod it(softmod or hardmod, softmod reccomended), and the only games you can play on it using only an SD Card are WiiWare and Virtual Console. And don't worry, it's not illegal at all, contrary to popular belief. It's not like stealing. Remember: piracy isn't theft, it's piracy. Theft removes the original, piracy makes a copy. P.S.. For more information on Wii softmods, YouTube and Google are your friends. I managed to easily softmod my console using the above method, and if you don't really trust YouTube, then check the guides on wiihacks.com. You're bound to get something done using those guides, and remember to choose a guide for modding your specific version of Wii firmware, and follow it closely. Good luck!

I assume you are asking if you can buy games like Super Mario Galaxy or CoD Black OPs directly from WiiShop. The answer to that is no. You cant buy full wii games directly from Wiishop. You can buy VC games (n64, snes,nes etc.) or WiiWare, similar to apps or games like Megaman 10 or Sonic 4. Hope this helped.

If you want to download pictures on your wii, you will need – computer – sd card drive All you do is insert your memory card in the drive and drag your files to your 2gb memory card. *You cannot put games on a 2gb memory card, game files are too big to fit on a memory card with 2 gb.

Wii Shooting games and Big Buck Hunter?

Hello Yahoo Wii communiity, I'm in need of some help: I am a wii owner and have been unimpressed by the shooting games I have. I am looking for something as fun as Big Buck Hunter, which is ultra responsive, accurate, and doesn't have a target reticle on screen at all times. What I have is Link's Crossbow Training, Umbrella Chronicles, Call of Duty 4, and Metroid prime, and a wii zapper. None of these are nearly as fun to play as a real light gun game (Like Big Buck Hunter or even the original Duck Hunt). 1. I've tweaked my settings all I can, but it seems like the Wii Zapper is just a bit too fast for the target reticle in all these shooting games. 2. The reticle is a bit below where i'm actually aiming in all games…has anybody else experienced that? Have a fix? I'd like to actually aim the gun instead of wave the wand around. 3. Does anybody know of a better accessory than the wii zapper for shooting games? 4. Does anybody know of a better game than the ones I've listed, to recreate a true light gun experience? Thanks so much for your help all. The shooting aspect of Wii so far has let me down, i'm basically trying to recreate the feel of an "Arcade Shooter" in my living room, something as fun and responsive as a game like Big Buck Hunter (though I don't care what I"m actually shooting at, just need something responsive). I am an avid shooter genre fan and the Wii has added a really great 'arcade' experience to my in-home gaming. I too have Umbrella Chronicles, Link & Zelda, and House of the Dead 2,3,4 the Wii Zapper, and a pistol gun as well. The Zapper's trigger is very sensitive, but comes in handy when facing an onslaught of enemies to deal with. It is so easy to shoot that you can actually do it repeatedly almost in a continuous fire. But, if you are looking for something with a little more force needed to shoot, then go with the pistol accessory. It is heavier, smaller, and the trigger needs to be pressed down a little farther for it to shoot, so it isn't as sensitive. Each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages, but they are useful in different situations. If you want to get back to the 'old skool' gaming experience I would suggest picking up House of the Dead 2,3 and even the new one that came out a few months ago. They are all pretty great quality games for arcade shooting on the Wii. Http://www.skilladdiction.com

Hiya, I'm in Perth West Australia and been thinking about getting a Wii Fit to help lose weight in a fun way. I just saw this in the latest Target catalogue and was wondering if this is a really good deal or if I could do better?? It includes the console, wii sports, big beach sports, big family games, fit board and 8 in 1 accessory pack all for $499 AUD. I would like the EA sports too but unfortunately I've only seen that on its own or with the fit board which already comes with this bundle. Our family is going on a week long vacation and would like to rent a Wii or Xbox 360 for the duration of our trip. The rental place would ideally be in or around Ocean City, MD. We have the consoles but don't want to bring them (the Xbox is fragile and the Wii's cords have been put into an organizer which makes it difficult to move)

Use the nunchuck to pick up instruments. At the bottom left corner of the game page while operating, you'll see a bunch of operating equipments right? If you want to pick up the scalpel, push the nunchuck button (the round thing) to the left since the picture is on the left. If you want to stitch them up, push the nunchuck button right. Gel push up, and vital needle push top right. I hope this makes sense. If you need help during anypoint in this game on a certain operation, i reccomend you watch videos by this user: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbiWDCJLbns he's pro and he'll show you how its done.

What Should I Do To My Wii?

i have a wii which i wanna sell on ebay to get a 360, but unfortunetly i was stupid enough to write on it with PERMANENT, yes permanent, MARKER and i dont wanna damage it or get it wet and not make it work anymore. At the same time the original faceplate is scratched up so i was thinking to put on a Wii skin but how about if the new owner PEELS it off. Aerosol hairspray (like Aqua-Net) removes permanent marker pretty well, but if it's been on there for any length of time, it won't come off completely. You could also try looking for a permanent marker remover at the store like Goof-Off or something else, but I'd imagine they'd have the same effect as I think the ink seeps into the pores of the plastic over time. You could try one of those but a skin will probably be your best bet to cover it up also.

Need Help making a purchase!!!!!!!!!!? hello every one . I really need some help making a decision on what to buy. i currently own a ps3 and am wanting to buy a nintendo wii mainly because i find the whole motion control scheme very entertaining. recently i found out that sony will be releasing a motion Controller and games. I really don't know which to BUY!!. ive tried weighing my options and thinking about both systems in the long term. ( i don't exactly play much With the ps3 anymore any ways that's why i wanted a wii) so i was thinking like this. if i bought a wii i would probably purchase at least 10 games. (ive had the ps3 for 1 and a half years and only have 10 games in total) and those ten games would be mostly mario Metroid and the fitness stuff which is another reason i want the console (i want to lose some weight and tests have show that you can burn 484 calories per hr using wii sports the pre packed game, and there are about 7700 Cal's in a kilo so id have to play for a total of 15 hrs to lose 1 kilo along with a diet of course that would mean i could lose 2kgs per week if i train hard ! =].) when i think about that i always think about the wii system it self. it doesn't have the bets graphics or hd and apparently all of the games are shovel wear so i was thinking if i waited for the ps3 motion controller would i be getting a better quality product compared to the wii?. Iv'e also been hearing rumors of new consoles being released end of this year, start of next year including a new hd version of the wii. should i wait for that or is it a lie? has any one heard confermation of some sort of new wii console in the new future. please help me i really dont know what to do. Wii or ps3 motion controller OR wait for new console. i no its alot to answer but i need all the help i can get before i head to the store and blow AUS$400 on a console when a product alowing my existing console to do the exact same thing and it would cost me alot less. one last thing if i havent bored you yet. As for gaming content, can some one list the best wii games out at the moment that are good and if there are ny highly anticipated games on the way that i might like. (im turning 15 btw so if thats to old an age to own a wii then i think ill hold out for the ps3 thing.)

Ok. I depends what you want. PS3, Xbox, and Wii all have motion control (Xbox is also make one called Project Natal.) It all depends on your opinion. Xbox is a big no no because the have a 50% chance failure rate while PS3 has a 1% failure rate. If your going to go for the PS3 (Which i recommend) I suggest you get the slim. It's better than the older one because it cools better, has a better GPU and CPU and is overall 50% smaller than the older one. In my expierince (I have one) it gets cooler as you play. Weird right? Well anyway, if you want cartoonish cheap drawings or HD drawings, (when the Wii HD comes out), go for the Wii. It is more family friendly. But, if you want a crazy console that can support you gaming full HD needs, GET A PS3. So overall, Xbox is automatically ruled out and Wii is a overall opinion. So, PS3 it is.

Im from australia too i would suggest you to buy super mario galaxy, zelda twighlight princess, mario kart wii, super smash brothers bros brawl, metroid prime 3,and no nikki its not called wii sports its called WiiPlay that comes with a remote. I wouldnt suggest mario strikers charged becaue its a very very very hard game and takes long to get realllllllly pro. Resident evil 4 is ok but brawl and mario kart is the best out of them i reakon

I like in milwaukee too.. Target on 27th street and hwy 100 seem to get them in on Sunday's. I would call saturday night to be sure they are getting a shipment but I do know the local Targets get them on Sunday

Walmart has the better option. The Target Bundle comes with useless accessories like the steering wheels and gun peripheral. The only thing I saw there worth getting what the charging dock, which comes with the Walmart Bundle anyway. You also get another game with the WB, too (I suggest Wii Play + Remote).

Next shipment of Wii consoles to hit the market?

Mii would like to play!!!! Like many people, I never bought a Wii when they first came out, and like many people still, I'm having a hard time tracking one down that doesn't cost at least twice what they would in a store. I hear through the grapevine that Target has some, Best Buy has some, but they're never in the store when I get there. Has anyone heard anything about when actual stores may get them in? I saw January 31, 2008 on one site, but who knows…anyway, if anyone knows ANYthing, I would be appreciative of your tips.

If I was you, I would get myself down to my local shop and register my interest. Ask what position you are in as shops normally get 14 Wiis per delivery. Then just wait, and make sure you have enough to get quite a few decent games as it will become boring as hel after clocking Mario Galaxy and Smooth Moves. Just wait for SSB or MK lol

i look at game informers reviews on wii games and i think there inaccurate because only ps3 and xbox360 games get good ratings even when they are not that good
